I only started using my Organicup about 3 years ago after many years of using tampons. And oh my goodness, why did I not listen to my lovely sister-in-law years ago when she told me about her Mooncup?! I would never look back and can’t believe I didn’t start using them earlier. Since we’ve started selling them, I have heard the same thing from countless customers who cannot believe they didn’t convert years ago too. But it’s never too late, it will save you lots of money and they are so much kinder and sustainable for the environment, you’ll feel great every single month you use it!

Thanks to Organicup for the following detailed instructions. Let us know if you have any other questions too!

The Nappy Camper Cloth Nappy Need-To-Know Guide

So you think about using cloth nappies, give a quick Google and throw your phone/device at the wall. I get it, it’s overwhelming. How many different types are there? How many do I need? How much am I going to need to spend on them? What if they don’t suit my baby? Are they really that much better for the environment than disposables nappies if I have to keep washing them over and over again? From the wise words of Luna Petunia; “Stop. Breathe. And Believe.”

With thanks to our friends at Stasher

So how to you extend the life of your Stashers? With simple, safe cleaning.

Welcoming a new baby into your family is such an exciting time, so many firsts, new feelings and possibilities are waiting for you! However, there is also an entirely new market you need to navigate: the baby product market, which is larger than it ever was before! Getting ready for your newborn can be quite confusing and expensive, especially if you are trying to embrace a zero waste/less waste philosophy and you’ll realise you probably won’t need half the products that are marketed as essentials.

Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a list of all eco newborn bits and bobs that aren’t just helpful in those days of early parenthood but are also much kinder to our planet!

Keeping newborn babies and young infants warm seems to be trickier than it sounds. As parents we want our little ones to be comfortable. Trying to figure out if they are too warm or too cold can be hard, especially since they can’t tell us!

In addition to the question of how many layers to put on them, we are often wondering what materials are actually safe for their delicate skin. It seems that many centuries ago dressing babies and children was a lot simpler! Clothes were made from wool and babies were wrapped in lamb or sheepskin.

Both natural materials are not just free from chemicals but have many other benefits. This is why products made from natural fibres such as lambswool are making a come back in modern eco-conscious homes, and not just for the winter. Read on to find out why!

Common Cloth Nappy Myths

By Amy, The Nappy Camper

If you have been thinking about using cloth nappies and have some concerns over the cost, environment, work involved etc then this is the post for you. I’m myth busting to help put your mind at ease. Here are 7 of the many thoughts I had before I used cloth nappies and also some arguments and facts to relate back to the “concerns” your family/friends/colleagues or even strangers might have too.
